My education so far


2013 – 2014:
MSc. Politics and Communication

For my Masters at the LSE I took courses ranging from Political Communication, Democracy and the Media to Modern Campaigning Politics and Contemporary Issues in Media and Communications Policy. My dissertation topic is: “New paths into city hall: A study of modernisation in the 2014 Munich mayoral election”. The course was supervised by Dr. Nick Anstead and Dr. Bart Caemmerts. I was also a member of the politics, debating and German societies.

2010 – 2013:
BA. International Politics
with Business Economics

For three years I studied for my combined honours degree at UEL’s docklands campus. The course was supervised by Dr. Tim Hall. My courses on the Business Economics side of my degree included business modules as well as economics modules with a focus of the social and cultural influences on economics and economic policy making. On the International Politics side I focused on international relations and political philosophy. I was also a member of the politics society and took a module in French.

Summer School 2012:
International Relations in East Asia

In the course of my studies at UEL I was offered the opportunity to participate in a summer exchange programme with Hanyang University in Seoul, South-Korea. I used the opportunity to further deepen my knowledge of International Relations and took a course in International Relations in East Asia. I also studied Korean Language and took a Taekwondo course. At the end of the programme I was awarded the Friendship Award for demonstrating outstanding social skills.

2004 – 2009:
International Baccalaureate

After moving to Bonn, Germany, my parents sent me to Bonn International School. I learned to speak English fluently and made great friends from all over the world. After graduating middle school, I took my IB (International Baccalaureate) with higher levels in English, Economics and Geography.

1996 – 2004:
Primary School

I spent the first few years of my educational years at a catholic school in Pullach, south of my hometown of Munich. The school focused on languages and taught English, French and Latin from fifth grade onwards. Here I developed my love for geography and history which later led me to my studies of politics.

In the Future

I am a stern believer in lifelong learning but as far as formal education goes, I would love to take an MBA at one point in the futre. Also, I would love to be the first in my family to have a PhD.
